Dr. Johnson’s Story...
What would you do if you came face-to-face with Micheal Myers from the movie Halloween, Jason Voorhes from the movie Friday the 13th and Freddy Krueger from Nightmare on Elm Street? Well, that would probably not happen because they are Hollywood actors playing the role of monsters. She thought monsters only exist on television... Until June 9, 2022 in New York City when she was attacked by a monster. She was the victim of a near-fatal strangulation attack by her New York actor intimate partner. That night she found out that monsters do exist and they are not always on television. This attack landed her in the hospital for 7 days. Her intimate partner, the actor, was arrested and pleaded guilty to the violent charges.
This is when Queens United Against Domestic Violence was born.
